TRAQ3 have slight different tastes, always related to electronic. in portuguese there is an expression to describe a kind of randomness when fado singers 'go with the flow'. it is called 'fado à desgarrada'. we use the same improvisation attitude during our performances. the best way to describe what we do is 'electrónica à desgarrada'.
diogo is known for singing in the most peculiar situations. whether he is at work, in the bus or closed in his room, his mind just starts drifting away and when it decides to 'come back' he finally finds every surrounding eye staring at him. he always loved music, started up with the beatles, when everybody else was listening to guns n roses, and then went on to the grunge era. the year he spent in berlin, going weekly to maria am ostbahnhof and parties in abandoned lidl's or aldi's, finally hooked him on techno music.
paulo feels like the outsider. he never had a particular interest in collecting music but he likes clubs, festivals and concerts. he doesn't buy as many records as pedro and diogo, but he has a very cool collection of vinyl. he lived in barcelona for 2 years and that has definitely influenced his electro-attitude. paulo has also a great interest on travelling and he tapes city-scapes and combines them in a work in progress called 'wherever' which has been shown during TRAQ3 performances.
pedro just likes music a lot. he started digging his father's (almost) gigantic music collection when he was ten and soon started his own cd collection as well as he started learning doublebass. he had a conservative musical education but he's now far more interested in electronic although he has an ecletic taste. he lived for two years in germany and that was the time when he acquired his techno background, being now particularly focused in "old" electronic tracks.
