January 16 1988 born In the West Indies, Jamaica, Nickeisha Bardowell Began Singing the moment she Could speak. Music was a big part of her surroundings. Her grandfather, Owen Silvera, was a well known Ska Singer in Jamaica during the 70's. He and his Brother, Leon Silvera, were known as Owen and Leon Silvera. Today their music is still being played through out the UK. The musical talents of her grandfather passed on to her Mother, Dawn Bardowell, who eventually passed on the talents to Nickeisha. Barely one years old, Nickeisha and her family migrated to America. During Nickeisha's Childhood years, She and her two sisters, Velicia Bardowell And Crystal Bardowell, formed a small singing group where they would sing in church during every service, Sometimes accompanied by their mother. At the age of 7 years Old, Nickeisha discovered more talents in drama and Instruments. Nickeisha had the gift to act and imitate accents by listening to others. She also had the remarkable Gift to pick up an instrument and play it by ear. Nickeisha's most used instruments are the Piano, Guitar, and Recorder/Flute. Growing up, Nickeisha attended many musical programs. Her most known program was Mind Builders creative art center in the Bronx. At about the age of eight years old, she wanted to learn how to play the Piano professionally but did not get to Attend her piano lessons long enough to advance. So instead Nickeisha continued Teaching her self at home without any knowledge of reading music. She also attended a short Contemporary Opera and classical Vocal class that gave her the chance to perform at various Locations Including Colleges. In Elementary school during the 2nd Grade, Nickeisha's talent for playing the piano got known. She eventually graduated Elementary school with a music Award. During her middle School years, She continued Singing and performing in her school. For September 11th, She and two friends performed an Original Song for the people who lost their lives. Nickeisha was the talk around Her school when in came to music. For her senior year in Middle School She won the best Female singer of the year And her picture was placed in the Year book under that Title. As Nickeisha grew up and more confident, She decided it was time to try some competitions. She auditioned for many competitions during her High School years including, Talent Rocks and got a chance to go to Florida, Madison Square Garden Music festival and won a chance to perform in Madison Square Garden, Regional Competitions, and The NAACP Act-So Talent Competition where She won the West Chester County region and went on to Philadelphia. At the age of 14 years old, Nickeisha Discovered what a Keyboard and computer studio software's could do for her. Since then, She has never stopped creating music/Beats for herself. Up to date, She has written so many songs an counting. Nickeisha is currently working on her album and will keep you up to date.
