About Me

Greg Stritzel is a 26 year-old musician, composer, and Father from McHenry Illinois. Greg is a self-taught guitarist, drummer, keyboardist, bassist, and vocalist who strives to take each instrument to its fullest. Aside from the performing aspect, Greg also works as the full time drummer, producer and sound engineer for the band Asylum Days and composer Dominik Zieba. Also, Greg is a part of the deadly duo, Bon Appetight, which reinvents the cooking realm with a metal makeover! Finding time to write, record, mix, master, and produce music can be sometimes hard to find due to his busy schedule, so new material may not be posted as often as he would like. Currently, Greg is working on a solo cd entitled "CTRL-ALT-DEL" which is primarily focused on computers, technology, and gory horror induced concepts. The first track "Hexadecimal Havoc" has been posted along with some "Idea Tracks" which are currently being worked into new compositions.
Enjoy your stay in the realm of CTRL-ALT-DEL.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: All Compositions, Arrangements, Drums, Bass, Guitars, Keyboards, and Vocals were Written, Performed, Recorded, Mixed, and Mastered by Greg Stritzel.
Influences: Spastic Ink, Computers and technology, Pagan's Mind, Cannibal Corpse, Nightwish, Yngwie Malmsteen, Horror Films, Mike Mangini, Bobby Jarzombek, Michael Romeo, Virgil Donati, Michael Angelo Batio, and pretty much anything else that gives me a spark to write something ridiculous and goofy:) Most recent compositions are mostly influenced by the combination of gore and computers (what a combo). It can be most accurately compared to being slaughtered by numbering systems and computer hardware, eventually leading to the complete extinction of mankind.
Sounds Like: Wide variances of metal with prog influences. In this project, I have decided to write in the genre of "Nerd Metal", which all of the lyrics and song titles are derived from "The Deluxe Edition A+ Complete Study Guide". Its like having a computer lesson in each musical experience.
