As you read this, over 3 million people in Darfur, Sudan are crammed together in concentration camps, dying of disease and hunger, while government sponsored troops slaughter civilians, use rape to destroy group unity, and shoot children for sport.400,000 men, women, and children are already dead. Entire races have been exterminated by the Sudanese government's campaign of ethnic cleansing.
Never Again... After the Holocaust we promised to "never again" allow the wholesale slaughter of ethnic groups by any government, even if it meant standing up to a major world power such as Nazi Germany.Omar Al-Bashir is making a mockery of this pledge by committing genocide on a budget less than that of most U.S. states. If the world is unwilling to intervene in a genocide committed by a relatively minor world player, how can we possibly hope to stand up to the next Nazi Germany ..
The rate of new AIDS cases for black women was 20 times that of white women and five times greater than the infection rate for Latinas, according to a report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Black and Hispanic women accounted for 77 percent of all new AIDS infections.
Black and Hispanic women made up 83 percent of reported AIDS diagnoses among women. AIDS is among the three top causes of death for black women ages 25 to 45.
Writing has not only served as a source of strength and inspiration for me, but for others as well. The purpose of my space is not to present to you, some high-minded religiosity, but to let you know that, you should never be intimidated by your own dreams! That Yes! your dreams and aspirations "Can" and "Will" come true. You've got to know, that "All" Things are possible with God! and that "yes", there is a Destiny that awaits you. It's been there since the beginning of time...and the Promise of the Fulfillment, is closer than you even think!
You see, I don't believe that being a Christian, is synonomous with being ignorant and un-informed. That is why, I have chosen to list an array of sites for you to challenge your potential, increase your knowledge, make a difference, be informed, and be a vessel for CHANGE!. I want you to see that, You "CAN" and "ARE", making a difference. We "can" provoke positive change, it's all in the plan. You can definitely take your gift to a new level. These sites are proof within themselves, that many are living out their dreams, whether it be, poetry, singing, acting, social and economic change, etc., and they are reaching the masses! Many are encouraging others to branch out and drive forward! To get involved, let your voice be heard, now more will you be silent to what's going on around you...you can provoke Change!
So in closing, be encouraged, know that the Best is yet to come! You will land amongst the Stars! and I'll see ya there! :)
