About Me

Fusing together genres of metalcore, experimental and even a dash of pop, Portrait Of The Artist creates a musical experience both uplifting and inspirational. Formed in August of 2006, Portrait Of The Artist is composed of six musicians from the Central Valley of California hoping to push the envelope and show that music can be both fun and serious at the same time. POTA is: Nick Swisegood (vocals), Alex Leslie (bass), Aaron Weimer(guitar), David DeLaRoca (guitar),Jeff Thorkelson (keys) and David Stump(drums). With music that is both heavy and melodic, POTA brings a new aspect to the metal scene with brutal breakdowns, unique riffs, melodic piano and catchy choruses.
