Hello, my name's Ian and chances are if you're reading this then you, for whatever reason, want to know a bit more about me... well fine then, let's go.
I'm a nerd, plain and simple... I like nerdy stuff, I do nerdy things, I have nerdy friends, I have a nerdy girlfriend (that's a good thing, babe... a very, very good thing)... etc. etc. I greatly enjoy video games for a variety of reasons... immersion in a fantasy realm that transports me away from this tedious reality, the satiating of my blood lust, and the general fun factor presented by them. I like all genres except for sports games, blah... no thank you... unless it's like Mario Tennis or something, that's badass. I own a pretty decent PC, a Nintendo Wii, and a PS2 just to give you an idea of what I tend to play... I'm considering buying a PS3 if I can get the money, but I'm sure you probably don't care about this so I'll move onward. I'm also very much into computers... I'm currently working as a programmer/web developer/IT guy and I'm going to school for computer science. When I'm not being put to sleep by professors who obviously do not want to be there, I find pretty much everything about them fascinating (regarding theory and what not). Also, I wait with baited breath for the day that robot overlords finally take over the Earth and enslave all humans so that we are forced to carry out their will... that's gonna be totally awesome. I used to play D&D on a regular basis and was the dungeon master for a while, but that's fizzled out as of late. I like to think I'm open to new ideas; however, I am rather cynical because that tends to be the way the world work, but I do like being pleasantly surprised so if you have more optimistic views on life please share it with me... I always find conversations about life to be very interesting... also, conversations about cheese are equally interesting.
