About Me

Bananas. b a n a n a s.

My Interests

Big snowstorms, climbing trees, coffee-flavored anything, the colors red, orange, and reddish-orange, throwing ridiculous theme parties (think 150 friends dressed as cavemen, pterodactyl bartenders, and a 10 foot mammoth with beer coming out of his snout), barcelona, tokyo, red wine, good beer, stripes, cheese, music, making music, ski trips, the Yankees, learning how to say 'cheers' in every language, killing my plants, cheese, and the number 2.

I'd like to meet:

Old friends, pirates, travel partners, Stewie Griffin, Kurt Vonnegut, Joe Torre, someone who knows why some glasses come out of my dishwasher dirtier than when I put them in, Borat, people who can teach me how not to kill my plants, a street vendor who sells iced coffee in the winter, an affordable jazz piano teacher, and Audrey Tautou.

Music:

bell biv devoe, belle and sebastian, ben folds five, binary star, blackalicious, blur, broken social scene, built to spill, wolf parade, the editors, the dears, arcade fire, andrew bird, phoenix, the go team, the decemberists, stars, the dismemberment plan, prefuse 73, the flaming lips, tribe, de la, quintetto x, interpol, matt pond pa, destroyer, asobi seksu, the postal service, radio 4, the shins, the pixies, the cure, the smiths, enon, random jazz, and more. And the oklahoma original cast recording - in high school, I was Chalmers, the friendly cowboy with a heart of gold (and two lines).

Movies:

Lost in Translation, Memento, The Usual Suspects, Zoolander, Amelie, Gattaca, Fargo, The Princess Bride, The Goonies, and 50 First Dates (which I'm unable to turn off whenever it's on hbo at 2am). Someone please force me to watch more movies.

Television:

Family Guy, The State, Futurama, Curb your Enthusiasm, Ali G., 24, Planet Earth, Growing Pains.

Books:

Anything by Vonnegut, Ishmael, Kavelier and Clay, anything claiming to explain how the universe works, 1984, Catcher in the Rye, the williams-sonoma complete grilling cookbook, a wrinkle in time, and the latest issue of the onion.

Heroes:

There's one with sliced roasted chicken and sweet peppers at a deli by my office which is very good.
