Suzy was bitten by the photography bug when her father gave her an old Kodak 110 film camera (film?? 110 film?? what's that?!?) As much as she loved photography and her camera, she just could not seem keep it in her hands. Shortly after learning the basics of photography, she broke that little camera and her parents told her she would not get another one and had to use disposables until she became more responsible. Heartbroken, she had no choice but to agree.Continuing to use her disposable cameras all through middle and high school, Suzy refined her passions for the art, enjoying photography as a wonderful hobby. To the dismay of her parents, Suzy always found herself BEHIND the camera lens instead of in front of it, which caused a major shortage of childhood photographs of her but plenty of her family. Entering college, Suzy finally decided to get serious about photography and bought a "real" camera - a film Canon Rebel XT. She continued to learn the
fundamentals of photography with film and a good old fashioned DARKROOM! To this day, the smell of developer brings back fabulous memories!As Suzy refined her talents and made the transition to digital, her passion for the art of photography took her from Sin City to Florida, where she is working with renown children's photographer, Alycia Alvarez www.alyciaalvarez.com
Now settled in Tampa, with a new edgy style, Suzy is fast becoming one of the most sought after high school senior photographers in the Bay area.
