I'm also a member of the 501st Legion, a Star Wars fan club. The Legion is a not-for-profit club formed for the express purpose of bringing together SW enthusiasts and giving them a collective identity within which to operate. The Legion also contributes to the local community through charity and volunteer work. I've trooped three Toys For Tots drives so far, and have helped raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
With over 3,000 members spanning 21 countries the 501st is a worldwide brotherhood, and the people I've met while trooping have become like a second family to me. That's why I'm wearing some wacky outfit in most of my pictures. It's about the only time I have my picture taken.
