Well, I am now a legal permanent resident of Oregon, USA. After 27 years in the Philippines, I find leaving all my friends and family hard... But with my ever-supportive husband and two adorable daughters, I made that huge step, and made it with no hesitation =)
A week later, I've made numerous trips to Target and Costco, couple of Taco Bell and KFC meals, got my first unbelievably thorough dental checkup, drove myself for the first time (to get take-out, of course, hehehe)... I am loving this end-of-summer/beginning-of-fall weather! It's still warm and sunny during the day and cool enough in the evenings that you don't need an aircon or an electric fan =)... I am still amazed at how the water here is safe enough to drink... Getting me to do the laundry or the dishes has not been hard at all (thanks to technology of having all the machines that help you do that!)... Still have to get used to segregating the trash for recycling...
My project next week -- start learning how to cook! Hahaha! Wish me luck everyone! =D
