i saw the light somewhere along my road. it was actually so bright that i didn't notice it until life went dark again. so now, blindly, i grope through the shadows looking for a candle to start my burnt out flame while trying not to get burned at the same time. that's why, with one foot in the ocean, i ask, "anyone got a light?" i don't really knowing if there's someone beyond the darkness. I can hope though, believe that in the end we truly aren't alone. my eyes have stopped working and my ears are constantly ringing. my hands search through the night. at those points where i finally stop hearing the echos from my wishful calls and sit down in a place i'm only supposed to stand i remember what it's like for you to let me out into the light. the glow so bright and feeling so warm. like a cool fire touching every part of my being, inside and out. and your hands, giving me goosebumps as they move up my arms. that electric air as you slowly move in. the spark when my lips meet yours that turns into a lightning bolt. so i stand back up, and keep moving. maybe one of these days i'll find the right door and cause a spark so big it lights both our candles. i kinda like to write
