Kitty Pipatcharoenkij has been described as “a talented singer with excellent toneâ€, “always having a professional attitudeâ€, and “is a joy to work withâ€. Her work includes voiceover for the Thai production of “Space Jam†(Warner Bros. Pictures), CBS “Survivorâ€, numerous Thai commercials, session singer for Thai music label FOME, producer and DJ for the Los Angeles based radio station EV2, and M.C. for local Thai music concerts. She is also a background vocalist for prominent Thai artist Boyd Kosiyapong, and performed in front of 20,000 people at the Thai National Stadium in 2006.
Being the black sheep of her family, Kitty always dreamt of a career in the music business. Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, she showed an aptitude for singing from the early age of 6 when she sang at family parties and earned small tips. Her parents had hoped she would work and maintain the family plastics business, but Kitty had other ideas.
After graduating from college, Kitty worked in the advertising business for a few years. At the same time, she was singing background vocals at studio sessions and live performances around Bangkok. It was at then she realized what an important role music played in her life.
In 2002, Kitty decided to move to Los Angeles. She immediately enrolled in music classes at Los Angeles Valley College, where she quickly impressed the faculty with her drive and desire to become a complete musician. After graduating from LA Valley College, Kitty was accepted into California State University at Los Angeles, where she is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Commercial Music. Kitty currently performs jazz and pop around the Los Angeles area. She is sorry to tell her parents that she is still not interested in the plastics business.
