............................................................ ..................................................With just enough Telecaster twang, tasteful fiddle playing, and mind blowing song arrangements, the band 13 to the gallows is leaving a lasting impression with every performance. The band displays an amazing array of old-time country guitar picking, with a touch of kick ass rock. After over a decade of of singing and song writing lead singer/guitarist Branden Pyle decided to venture from his solo music career and start the 13 to the gallows band project.13 to the gallows is formed from the ashes of countless punk, rock, country, folk, and jazz projects. Band members include Branden Pyle (guitar, banjo, harmonica, slide, doghouse and lead vocals) Yonatan Miller (fiddle, harmonica and mandolin) luke (drums), and Ruben Garcia (bass). With their mutt like variety of musical styles.Great independent CD sales, and sold out shows the 13 to the gallows sound any style is spreading ever so fast. The determination put forward by this highly motivated band has brought them national wide success in their short time as a band, getting spins on XM radio, and having radio stations across the U.S rotating their tracks. 13 to the gallows has been requested by many local entertainment businesses to be the opening act for many national acts such as Wayne Hancock and Dale Watson, just to name a few......................................................... ............................................................ ... here is the definition for western swing for the rap artists that are confused.....Western swing is, first and foremost, a fusion of country music, several styles of jazz, pop music and blues aimedat dancers. Much of it is dance music with an up-tempo beat and a decidedly Southwestern United States regionalflavor. It consists of an eclectic combination of country, cowboy, polka, Gypsy jazz, Mexican, and folk music, blended with a jazzy "swing", with a tip of the hat to New Orleans jazz and blues, and played by a hot string bandoften augmented with drums, saxophones, pianos and, notably, the steel guitar. Later incarnations have also includedovertones of bebop. It originated in the dance halls of small towns throughout the Lower Great Plains in the 1920s and 1930s.[1],evolving from the old house parties and ranch dances where fiddlers and guitarists entertained dancers. Bob Willsand Milton Brown essentially created the stylistic blend in the early 1930s as co-founders of the stringband thatbecame the Light Crust Doughboys, who played dancehalls and took advantage of the new medium of radio broadcasting. That helped the style gain a much wider following through the music of Wills and his Texas Playboys in Tulsa, Brownin Fort Worth (until his untimely death in 1936) and the Light Crust Doughboys, also in Fort Worth.
