About Me

I'm into a lot...so here goes. First, I'm an English major at NC State. Poetry, literature, good fiction, all are my word. I box, surf; I've been in bands since 14 (vocals), and my current band is "Armored Uprise."I love comic books. You're damn right, I said it; I continue to collect comics. I abhor talentless celebrities and their absolutely irrelevant lives. I, along with countless others, have become disenfranchised with the modern-day rape of our music industry. I support those who, instead of following trends, follow integrity. I recognize only the strong. Join me in my quest to destroy Pop-Culture and all of its faculties. Together, we can change the world!!!

My Interests

Writing, Boxing, Surfing, Music, Poetry, Fiction, Comics, Religion, History and Cross-Cultural Parallels (As Outlined By The Infamous Joseph Campbell), Toys and Stupid People.

I'd like to meet:

Damn...umm...Phil Anselmo, although he's gotta be a dick. I'm sure we'd rumble. I mean, I guess it'd be cool to meet some people that're "famous"; but what have they really done? Made interesting characters on a movie screen? Not enough I'm afraid. And politicians? Please. Maybe some religious figures, I don't know. That would require time travel. Better yet...I'd like to meet:Donatello and the rest of the Turtles, Thor, The Hulk, Spiderman, Wolverine, Conan The Barbarian, He-Man, The Thundercats, Captain America, The Transformers, G.I. Joe, Voltron, and King Diamond (cuz what the fuck?).

Only An Engine

Only An Engine By: Josh Eure I shot from the water gasping as cool liquid slid down my face, sloughing off like shed skin, peeling away to free the pure form beneath.  My eyes burned because I re...

The Conqueror Worm

I know, I know.  It's an Edgar Allan Poe title.  My reasoning?  I've taken Poe's poem and re-translated it, re-interpreted it, and re-produced it as a short story.  Let me know wha...

Hobbit Slaying!

I walked alone today, a lot.  I had weak songs bubbling around my head, old pop-punk tunes I've tried to forget, but stick there, unwilling to float off.  They're the same as old feelings an...

Adorable Chomsky

And it's complete.  Read it from the beginning, not where you left off, since I changed a lot.  Otherwise you'll end up lost.  Let me know what you think, everyone.  And thanks for...

A Good Day

I had a good day.  I just met with an old professor ( a current prof. at UNC), my mentor, and he's helping with my present stories.  He was excited.  So I'm excited. The work to fix and...

These Days

Today I punched a wall.  Hard.  It was painted cinderblocks and not the wisest choice, but something needed punching.  My car expired two weeks ago, on 64, gaskets blew and whateve...

A Beast Of Next To Nothing

I wrote this after a particularly noteworthy meeting with my tutee.  He seems to look up to me, in his way.  He's so much like me--like I once was, but more sad, I think.  He lacks the ...
