DJ Khont

Khont began DJing in early 2002 following his passion for electronic music and his acquaintance with the owners of Suka Bar in Caracas. Since then he has pretty much been the single Saturday night resident there, first mixing arabesque tribal house with Balearic influenced more up beat tracks and deep house, up until 2004. Since then, he has driven an ever growing mix of electronic music, always focused on house and more recently more focused on underground minimal-tech sounds. The current residency is simply called 'Saturday Night House Music'. In 2005 he began playing at other Caracas nightlife places, such as Barrabar, Backstage, and various private parties. In 2006 he conducted a weekly radio show with El Fusible, focused on electronic music and began producing. El Fusible launched a local talent electronic music CD (Venezuela Electronica) which featured Khont's first ever production, 'Tresbe' as its opening track.Khont lives in Caracas and produces using Mac hardware and Logic software. He plays out using CDs.
