If we were to talk about "First Division" as such, it was born at the beginning of 2006, when Cristi joined the group as a lead singer. On the other hand, if we were to go deeper, we would find Alex(bass), Bogdan „Grasuâ€(drums), Cap(lead singer) and Luci(strings) setting out the grounds for a rap core project at the beginning of the summer of 2003. Over the years the group named itself „Notz†and „Front in Distrugere†and the main influences in this period were: Rage Against The Machine, Beastie Boys, Coal Chamber, System of A down, Insane Clown Posse and then later on: Snot, Agnostic Front, Dry Kill Logic. The rehearsals were held in Bogdan’s house, where, due to the excessive „Unirea†consumption nothing good got out of them. A new member joined the group as a back-up singer, Eugen(Neo), who after a short while came to be the second guitar guy. The rap core influences were then replaced by the hardcore-punk wave. During this period, groups like Pantera, Mudvayne, MadBall, also set their mark on the band’s sound. Meanwhile, a part of the group members took on their studies in Bucharest, leaving rehearsals to take place once in a while, in Braila. A year later, after countless breaks and animosities, the rehearsals got a fresh start in Bucharest. Alex played bass for a short while in „Grui Sanger†project, Bogdan gave up the band and the rehearsals were to be held at Neo’s place; this is the period when the metal influences become noticeable. The next year, some of the groups problems seemed to be solved when Bogdan comes back to join them, but only to find out after a short while that Cap was leaving the band(nevertheless, the band members are still very proud of him for his accomplishment of drinking a whole „Unirea†bottle in only 13sec.:) In the mean time, Alex is in a metal project in Braila, also. In the fall of 2005, Bogdan makes his final decision as leaving the group, but in comes Dan to replace him, a member brought by Alex from the above mentioned project. Rehearsals finally seem to get going, but then Luci leaves the band to set out his own group called „ProoFâ€. In the spring of 2006, back to where we started, Cristi fills in the shoes of the lead singer and make the proposal of „First Division†as a band name. The first tracks are finalized: "Not For Sale", "Yesterday" and later on "Resurrect", "Born On XII.21.'89" and "Dead End" and we can see that the band has finally gained its own sound in the line of Hardcore / Metal. At the end of 2006, Dan is replaced by Ulisse, who adds a plus of balance to the band’s sound. After one year, Ulisse is leaving the band:( March 2008 : Zaietz is coming to beat the shit out of it, and to impregnate our style with a lil' bit of brutal beats and snares:) First Division is about struggle, about nature and mind pollution, socio-political issues, about life, death, honor, respect and many mo'. So, keep up and stand for us !!
