Sheldon Jermaine Facey a.k.a Harmony was born on February 2nd, 1976 at the Linstead Hospital. He spent his early childhood years growing up at Oliver rd in East Kingston. At age six he moved back to live with his mother and grandmother in Bonnett District Linstead. His ability to sing at that age saw him becoming a member and eventually the leader of the Bonnett District Citimission Junior Choir and later moved onto the senior choir.After leaving Bonnett Primary he returned to Kingston at age eleven. He then moved on to Guys Hill High School, which he attended while alternating stays between Bonnett and Vineyard Town. During school his only encounter with music was to visit the music room, play with the keyboard and sing. He graduated High School with passes Art & Craft, Math and English.Between 1993-96 Harmony did nothing really serious musically, except write songs and sing in and around his community. In 1996 he moved to Portmore and started attending the Special Training & Empowerment Program (STEP). For nine months he did courses covering Individuals & Society, Introduction to Computers and Mediation. He then attended the Stony Hill Heart Academy where he studied Marketing & Sales, Information Technology and Accounts.His venture into the working world was brief as while working at the Ministry of National Security as an accountant for just a month, he was the victim of a staff cutting exercise in 1999. As friend of his, Cowboy, who operated a sound system, took him to Wong Dub plate Studio in Portmore to record his first dub plate called ’Kill them easy’. He has been there ever since, mastering his craft as a singer while doing countless ’specials’ and acting as part time engineer.The singer, whom many says reminds them of Tracy Chapman, has performed at Portland Splash 2002, Orange Bay Splash to name a few. He has received lot of praise and encouragement from the likes of Mad Cobra, Vybz Cartel, Admiral Tibet, Louie Culture and Glen Ricks among others.If he is not in the studio, he can be found reading spiritual/cultural books, listening to music or playing soccer and basketball. The dreadlocked vegetarian lists his favorite meal as Rice & Peas and Greens (any green vegetable).About his faith he says " I have always been searching for righteousness and found it in rastafarism through reading".
