Mixing Mixing the vocals of the multi-tracks for the songs into a time mix. Mixing is the process of blending all the individual tracks to two track stereo or 5.1 surround.
Mastering Mixing the entire recording into a final arrangement dealing with compression, EQ, and gain. This will even out the rough spots and give an even tone on the audio levels of each song putting the final touch on the recording of all tracks.
