"My Own Blood is Much Too Dangerous"

About Me

I am my own doppelganger.

My Interests

ambiguity, dark humor

I'd like to meet:

ting, ting ta-ting, ting, ta-ting, ting, ta-ting

Music:

neko case; any be-bop (bird) or hard-bop (horace silver, grant green, tony williams), contemporary retro-progressive (brecker, tain), mingus; smashing pumpkins; irish and norwegian folk music; goth/dark (siouxsie, VAST, echo and the bunnymen, etc.); metal in the Sabbath tradition (godflesh, danzig, queens of the stone age, kittie, slayer, tool, rollins band, typ o negative), lilith-fairish women songwriters/performers (loreena, cranberries, sinead, alana, norah, cree summer, sometimes why, wild asparagus; and those who weren't invited to the lilith fair or who spurned it: me'shell, le tigre, the butchies, ani); giant step music (an early 90s NYC-based blend of funk, jazz, and hip-hop the best of which was groove collective, guru's jazzmatazz, brand new heavies, the worst of which was Us3); rasputina, mazzie star, southern culture on the skids; most indie/hipster leaves me cold because they're such bad musicians: all style over substance, few gems in the bunch; does anyone even care about music in other ways besides feelings and trends? watch DIG and you'll see what I mean
