Flighty, flimsy, flirty and frivolous

About Me

Hi, my name is Katrín. I am Icelandic. No, people in Iceland do not live in igloos. In fact, Iceland is on the top 10 list of the richest countries in the world. The Icelandic nation is also among the happiest (HOW can that be?). EVERYTHING there is grossly expensive. I get a minor shock every time I go to a shop there and look at a price tag. I lived in Edinburgh (in Scotland, not Texas or wherever the USA one is) for 23 months, until July 3rd 2007. I loved it. I miss it. And not because everything is cheap...Please check out my blog at http://pantaleon.blogspot.com. And please do not feel afraid to comment - I love it. I only wish more people would!I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

The Ruby Slippers. I WANT THEM. Ben & Jerry, I am eternally grateful.
You Are a Life Blogger!
Your blog is the story of your life - a living diary.
If it happens, you blog it. And make it as entertaining as possible. What Kind of Blogger Are You?

I'd like to meet:

Meg Cabot, my idol... mmm who else... my family? I mean, obviously I've already met them, but I'd like to see them again. I love them with all my heart.

Music:

Gavin DeGraw, Travis, Keane, The Beatles, Michelle Branch, Iron & Wine, Katie Melua, Emiliana Torrini, Lene Marlin, Mushman, Ben Kweller, Elton John, Patrick Park, The Fratellis, Mook, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Oasis, Quarashi, Simon & Garfunkel... this list is not exhaustive
Your Stripper Song Is
I'm a Slave 4 U by Britney Spears

"I'm a slave for you. I cannot hold it; I cannot control it.
I'm a slave for you. I won't deny it; I'm not trying to hide it."

You may seem shy, but you can let your wild side out when you want to! What Song Should You Strip To? Play this for me, dude, and who knows what might happen...

Movies:

Saved!, Eulogy, Almost Famous (theatrical version and Untitled, the bootleg cut), Les Choristes, Little Miss Sunshine, Hair, Finding Nemo (it is especially fun to watch this one in Danish - hilarous!), The History Boys, Amélie, Home Alone 1& 2 (nostalgia!), A Hard Day's Night, Donnie Darko
The Movie Of Your Life Is An Indie Flick
You do things your own way - and it's made for colorful times.
Your life hasn't turned out how anyone expected, thank goodness!

Your best movie matches: Clerks, Garden State, Napoleon Dynamite If Your Life Was a Movie, What Genre Would It Be? This I like! My favourite genre! (or one of)

Television:

Right now mostly Weeds, Grey's Anatomy, Gilmore Girls (RIP!) and then of course Buffy, as usual! An occasional episode of ANTM, One Tree Hill, and oh yeah: The OC finale was better than the whole series put together. I love happy endings! And Neighbours, the ONLY soap worth watching!

Books:

All books by Meg Cabot, but especially the Mediator series (YA), and right now Queen of Babble (Adult chick-lit); Persuasion by Jane Austen - isn't it COOL that you can read a book that was written almost 200 years ago, and still see e.g. character traits and plots that you can totally relate to?

Heroes:

My mum - the accomplished writer of historical fiction and straight-A-student! And Meg Cabot - the world-renowned writer of YA, chick-lit and romance, who I want to be just like when I grow up!
