We, at Operation Wounded Troops, do not directly receive these items nor do we request that anything come directly to us. We are
merely working together with the hospital in need to ensure they receive
whatever they need for our service members.
At this time we are a grass-roots effort but, we are
committed to our troops and will continue to help when and where we can. For the
safety and security of those involved, we do not publicize their information on
the web. Those interested in helping may send their inquiries to us and we will
respond with the necessary information for participation and assistance.
God Bless

LANDSTUHL
REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER IN GERMANY
is in need of
supplies for our wounded U.S. Troops which arrive there with pretty much
"nothing" ... on a daily basis!
Ramstein AFB in Germany is a about
a 5-hour medevac flight from Iraq. From here, troops are brought to the nearby
LRMC. The LRMC is for troops with serious injuries or illness requiring surgery
and hospitalization and the
average stay is under 1 week before being stabilized and sent on to a military
hospital stateside.
Currently they are
in need of: T-Shirts, Sweats, Socks, Boxers, Ladies Underwear & Personal
Hygiene items (I do have a detailed list with sizes needed most) The other
items that troops will appreciate is
ATT prepaid phone cards to call home during their stay in Germany. Other
things that are always greatly appreciated are: hard candy, magazines,
books, crossword puzzles, travel games, cards, things to help pass their time...
If you wish you
could also just write letters
and cards of support and encouragement to the wounded and ill troops. You may
want to include your name, address and email address in your letters. As far as
salutations I would suggest to use: "Dear Hero","Dear
Soldier" or just "American Hero",etc.
This would also make a great Project for your Girl & Boy Scout Troops
or as a classroom project.
Thanks so much and
GOD BLESS for supporting our Troops.
