About Me

From humble beginnings in Melbourne, Australia. Tamara AKA Tamwah AKA Canela has forged an eclectic and some what eccentric path as an artist. Her unquenchable thirst to express creativity has her schooled in various performing and visual arts. Gaining a love for and a solid foundation in music from both her parents as a child.Learning violin, piano,didgeridoo, classical / jazz vocal and more recently trumpet and berimbau. Tamara is a talented and enthusiastic singer/song writer who has performed across Australia, Peru and England. "This world" EP independently released in 2006 featuring three sensational tracks, blending soul, hip hop, jazz, roots and Latin music. Tamwah is currently working on a new album featuring collaborations with amazing artist from around the globe. Her passion is to bring people together thru music and culture to create awaking, understanding and community. One love...
