Two Heads Ltd is a new television production company established by childhood friends Nick Ward and James Anderson to create innovative, world-class television for mainstream audiences all over the world.Basically, they started the business so that they can make their kind of television for the whole world to see.Nick was frustrated seeing innovative ideas fall into the vast chasm known as ‘development hell’ because they were either too big or too hard. As well, the format market was swamped with uninspired, copycat ideas that, strangely, everyone was trying to copy.James was tired of making creative, innovative shows on limited budgets that no saw, due to late timeslots or niche audiences. He was producing award-winning television for people with sleep deprivation or weak bladders.It was readily apparent that each had their own strengths. Nick knows how to develop bloody good TV shows, and has commercial sensibilities from working wrist-deep in prime time television. James knows how to make cool TV shows, and has enough experience in production that he isn’t afraid to take a few risks when it came to treatments.So Nick and James sat down over a few beers for a bit of a chin wag to try and assess their situation. Pretty fast they realized the only way they could change things was to start their own company and fight for their ideas until they got commissioned. And, if the local budgets were too low to make the idea good enough to sell the world, then they agreed they would target international networks and big name brands so that they could afford to do things properly.By joining forces the two friends would be twice as powerful.
