About Me

I'm Samantha, 18, and a high school senior. I have a tendency to get chatty and ramble when I'm comfortable, but I mostly like to listen to other people talk. I enjoy the peaceful moments when I can find them. I'm emotional and dramatic; easily frazzled and probably pretty quirky. I like being spontaneous because it makes life all the more exciting, but at the same time I like to mull over ideas too much. Song lyrics can make me weak in the fingers—it's always the fingers. I delight in my randomness. Barnes & Noble is one of my many second homes. I collect seashells because I love the beach and the ocean. Doodling is fun, especially when you're having a mock competition.
When I was eight, I wanted to be a paleontologist (oh, how those aspirations have faded!); at this point I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with my life and I'm okay with it. I'm addicted to green tea, poetry, DeviantArt, music, and long conversations with good friends. And probably a whole list of other things. I have vices…When it comes to my work I know that I don't handle criticism well, however, I value honesty. I would rather be told how I can improve than have smoke blown up my ass. I wish I could a lot of things, like: sing, play a musical instrument, dance, tell jokes without laughing my ass off, learn to pay attention to smaller details, speak a foreign language fluently, become less of a procrastinator, and be more inspired/inspiring.
Right now I write the editorial for the school newspaper. It's kind of exciting to think that people will be reading and forming their own opinions about the things I write about.
Lazy mornings with a hot cuppa tea and a sketchpad are the best.
Art is my life. I could spend an endless number of hours just sketching silly things, thinking up fragments of poetry, and things like that. I'm at peace the most when I can lose myself to my thoughts.
I like funny, smart people who tell great jokes and stories because I love to laugh. And it's great when someone can challenge me and make me think. It's something that not many of us do much of these days and I love new ideas. I like to just be with the people I love—there isn't always a need for conversation and just the presence of the other is sometimes enough. I don't always feel the need to fill a day's worth of words into a few stolen minutes. A glance or a smile can say more, ya' know?
I don't like niceties and formalities—I can't stand the falseness and stiffness of all that. I'm also pretty intolerant of willful stupidity, prejudice, and stubbornness (you WILL obey me!). I could go on about things that I dislike, but I'll just touch on a few more things before I continue: people with enough "problems" to be on every one of Oprah's shows, the willfully illiterate, and simpletons with the notion that they can lie well and get away with it. Please. People of this variety only inspire me to commit horrendous acts against them. I'll leave the particulars to your imagination.
Please don't send me bullshit/spam friend requests, comments, messages, bulletins, invites, or anything else of that ilk. It's rude. But if you have a genuine interest in talking to me, feel free. I don't mind at all. I like meeting all kinds of people from all walks of life. And band/music requests make me feel cool.

My score on The Harry Potter Wand Test :
9", Willow, Dragon
(You scored 26 wisdom, 27 bravery, 42 emotional, and 16 martyrdom!)
A willow wand signifies that you care deeply about emotions, art, and intuition, and that you have a particular knack for charms. Your dragon's heartstring core makes your wand very effective in hexes.

Your Personality Profile
You are elegant, withdrawn, and brilliant.
Your mind is a weapon, able to solve any puzzle.
You are also great at poking holes in arguments and common beliefs.

For you, comfort and calm are very important.
You tend to thrive on your own and shrug off most affection.
You prefer to protect your emotions and stay strong. The World's Shortest Personality Test

I'd like to meet:

Extraterrestrials. Who else?

You Are Death
You symbolize the end, which can be frightening.
But you also symbolize the immortality of the soul.
You represent transformation, rebirth of a new life.
Sweeping away the past is part of this card, as painful as it may be.

Your fortune:

Don't worry, this card does not predict death itself.
Instead it foreshadows the ending of an era of your life, one that is hard to let go of.
But with the future great new things will come, and it's time to embrace them.
Mourn for a while, but then face the future with humility and courage. What Tarot Card Are You?

Music:

The Ataris, Yellowcard, Bowling for Soup, Simple Plan, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Matchbox 20, Jewel, The Beatles, Dashboard Confessional, The Bangles, Incubus, Sixpence None the Richer, Lifehouse, The Barenaked Ladies, Panic! At the Disco, KT Tunstall, Sister Hazel, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Maroon 5, Rob Thomas, Joss Stone, Blue October, Hinder, Daniel Powter, Loveholic, The Fray, James Blunt, John Mayer, Five for Fighting, Anna Nalick, Three Doors Down, U2, Bon Jovi, Nickelback, Saving Jane, Shakira, Train, Tal Bachman, Vertical Horizon, Josh Kelly, Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects, Green Day, Crossfade, Goo Goo Dolls, Good Charlotte, Pat Benetar, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and random songs I hear on the radio. What Is Your Role In A Relationship? (Male and Female, detailed results with Anime Pics!)

You are the Free Spirit

Free Spirits are mysterious beings, often nature loving, rarely in one place for long, always moving on. Your mystery is your greatest appeal, and your completely unreserved nature can be very attractive. You're not afraid to dance around in the rain or dive in a giant pile of leaves like a five year old. Embarrassment is not something you are well acquainted with.

Some people might consider you to be snobby, and it's true that you can sometimes be aloof, but you are not deliberately condescending, in fact, you believe most people to be better than you, and from your distant perch you can see all the positive attributes that aren't so obvious when close by.

You are a wandering soul who drifts in and out of people's lives, often without realising the impact and affect you have on them. Most of the time you presume people forget you almost as soon as you leave, but your mystery has kept many a heart ensnared for long after you have moved on.

Most compatible with: The Cynic

You need to be given a free rein in a relationship - not be expected to show up on time to dates or make any grand shows of commitment. The Cynic will expect nothing of you, and likes it that you expect nothing of them. With no expectations on either side, the only way to go is up, and with your allure keeping the Cynic interested in you, you'll be surprised how attached you could get!

Least compatible with: The Controlling

The last thing you want is to end up caged. The Controlling will try to rein you in, keep you under control, crushing your independent spirit. You would feel suffocated and dispirited very quickly, and it wouldn't be long before you wilted to half your former glory.

Your song is: Universe and U, KT Tunstall

Your Personality Is
Rational (NT)

You are both logical and creative. You are full of ideas.
You are so rational that you analyze everything. This drives people a little crazy!

Intelligence is important to you. You always like to be around smart people.
In fact, you're often a little short with people who don't impress you mentally.

You seem distant to some - but it's usually because you're deep in thought.
Those who understand you best are fellow Rationals.

In love, you tend to approach things with logic. You seek a compatible mate - who is also very intelligent.

At work, you tend to gravitate toward idea building careers - like programming, medicine, or academia.

With others, you are very honest and direct. People often can't take your criticism well.

As far as your looks go, you're coasting on what you were born with. You think fashion is silly.

On weekends, you spend most of your time thinking, experimenting with new ideas, or learning new things. The Three Question Personality Test

Movies:

Dragonheart, Along Came Polly, Elizabethtown, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Paulie, Faithful, Mrs. Brown, 300, Predator 1 and 2, AvP, Phantom of the Opera, Castaway, Hellboy, RoboCop 3, Life is Beautiful, Sophie's Choice, King Ralph, The DaVinci Code, Short Circuit, Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, Star Wars, Hitch, Finding Neverland, Corpse Bride, Lady in the Water, Bubble Boy, The Sound of Music, War of the Worlds, Frequency, Spawn, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Spaceballs, The Glass House, Simon Birch, Just Visiting, All the King's Men, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Rock, The Dead Poets' Society, The New Guy, The Perfect Score, The Stepford Wives, The Breakfast Club, Pirates of the Caribbean (both), Terms of Endearment, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, The King and I, Kill Bill, and others that I can't remember... What is Your Phrase? [for darker people]
"Awake, yet never truly alive, I seek valuation beyond reality"
Life is unfullfilling for you, and you aren't very fond of it. What you like is your own imaginative world, which can be your daydreams, stories you write or anything similar. You always prefer that before the actual life. To people you come off as quite lonesome, and you may wish you had more friends, but you are more of a hoper than someone who takes action. That is how you remain lonely. Or maybe you just don't find anyone who you can relate to. Inside you feel empty, like you are missing something important that you can't quite put a finger on what it is. Somehow you wish to be swept away from the normality and led into something extraordinary. This has yet to happen, and you keep on feeling dissapointed with the little that life has to offer. At least you continue to express yourself through art/writing/poems/daydreaming.

The Keys to Your Heart
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when things are straight-forward, and you're told that you're loved.

You'd like your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily. What Are The Keys To Your Heart?
