| Welcome to my website page dedicated to West Wales indie band Jylt.
Were you one of the lucky people who caught one of their live sets?If you are an ex-Uni student then you may well have seen the band in 2002 when they played the UK university circuit thanks to support from STUDENT 123. Voted best unsigned band, things were going so well for them when tragedy struck. Nia, the bass guitarist and one of the vocalists suddenly became very ill whilst the band was recording its first single and after a brave battle, she passed away in February 2004 aged 21. Nia was my wonderful daughter, a founder member of the band, artist, song writer and performer. She is sadly missed by all and her death saw the sad demise of Jylt.

I'd like to meet:

I would like to hear from anyone who heard or saw Jylt perform. I thought that they were the next big thing but then I was biased!!Bernie (Nia's dad)

Music:

I just love the music of Halflight, Persona B, I Liss and of course Jylt. Checkout the Jylt videos aside!!

Heroes:

My heroine was Nia. She taught me to be tolerant of others and to avoid first impressions as they are usually so wrong! During her illness she amazed me with her strength of character and fortitude as she underwent such painfull treatment aimed at saving her life.
