About Me

Warm hands, cold heart.

My Interests

self-medication, denial, the condition of want

I'd like to meet:

Meat?

Music:

Diggin on the new Nine Inch Nails... all of them, that crazy bastard. My own can be found at www.myspace.com/jdelpitmusic, if you're so inclined. But you're probably not. That's okay.

Books:

I read. A lot. Far more than the national average of 5 books per year (5! Among those who actually admit to reading! What's up with that?), often more than that per week. The following is a (far from complete) list of those whose name on the cover of a book means that I will automatically buy it: Anna Akhmatova, John Banville, Lynda Barry, Charles Baudelaire, David Benioff, Paul Bowles, William S. Burroughs, Albert Camus, Jonathan Carroll, e.e. cummings, Mark Z. Danielewski, Junot Diaz, Philip K. Dick, Bret Easton Ellis, Jeffrey Eugenides, Janet Fitch, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Jonathan Franzen, Nell Freudenberger, Neil Gaiman, Alex Garland, Miles Gibson, Edward Gorey, Alasdair Gray, John Hawkes, Scott Heim, Amy Hempel, Herman Hesse, John Irving, Franz Kafka, Jack Kerouac, J.T. LeRoy (hoax or not), Alan Moore, Vladimir Nabokov, Chuck Palahniuk, Mervyn Peake, Thomas Pynchon, Ayn Rand, Rainer Maria Rilke, Arthur Rimbaud, Jean-Paul Sartre, Hubert Selby, Jr., Anne Sexton, Iain Sinclair, Irvine Welsh, Joy Williams, Jeanette Winterson. I also love biographies (mainly of writers, artists and musicians) and strange history, have a serious magazine habit, and will forgo food for big fancy art and photo books.

Heroes:

Matt Stone and Trey Parker.
