My Wife Kathy and I have a California Smog Check station in Yucca Valley. VIP (Very Important Planet) Smog & Electric, Smog and Electrical work being the shop's specialties. Stop by and say hi if you're in the area. But besides work, family (wife & five children), home improvement, and the like, there's MUSIC!I'm the guitar player/vocalist in the group "Ritmo Loco Afro-Cuban Jazz Quintet". Check out our site on myspace. I sub on bass for the Rojer Arnold Band on occasion. Check out Rojer's site on myspace. Play acoustic guitar and sing with my daughter Allison. Need to get music happening for that. Some of these tunes are from the JT Shakers project (2nd cd) I've been doing for some time with my friend and fellow musician Steve Lester. We've been billed as Eric Neal and the JT Shakers. Steve released "Geniuses and Fools" (1st cd) on New Moon Records back in 1997. I gave some assistance with guitar and vocals. Steve is a singer/songwriter and played the "Big Time" regionally with the group "The Boys Next Door", opening for The Hollies, Herman's Hermits, Jerry Lee Lewis, and The Beach Boys. Check out his latest love, the Shadow Mountain Band on myspace. He has arguably the best studio in the high desert (new-moon-records.com) and knows his gear. You can hear his production on all these tunes, bass, harmonies on "Nevada", and "Time For Me" (w/wife Darlene [that's me singing harmony on "Baby If The Pain's Too Great"]). It may yet see the light of day. But in the interim, here's three that I wrote from that project. Then there's "Good To Be Back" from my band "Ritmo Loco Afro Cuban Jazz Quintet". I'm humbled to be working with these guys. They can really play.Lastly, there's "Matt And Me". This autobiographical tune is about ten years old now. I stayed up until almost 4:00am Sunday knocking this one out. Then slept about 5hrs, woke up and worked some more cleaning up mistakes, and getting the Oh-ohs on the outtro. It needs a lot more work, but I'm putting it up anyways.

It's not really anything but life. Just got the axe this evening from a second job down the hill. A real good, short run from about the middle of October to now. A fine restaurant, f... Posted by Bob Garcia on Tue, 20 Nov 2007 07:58:00 PST
