Down 15

From the I.E Down 15 was originally formed in late 2000. What started out as something to do for some friends that were bored became a SO Cal phenomenom. In the begining it was all about playing in the living room at Darrens house, Drinking Beer and hanging with friends. After a while playing in the living room became increasingly difficult due to the amount of people that would be there just to hang out and party with the band! "The Band"...for a long time that was all Down 15 was called but after some friends convinced the group to play a back yard party the Name "Down 15" was Born. Thanks largely to Chris who would eventually be credited with naming the band. Thanks Chris!! Before the party The original lead singer was out voted and became a spectator on the night of the backyard bash with Mike "the Maniac" Villa taking the Microphone. But before the band was finished the crowd asked to hear a song or two from the original Voice. On that night Donavan Lost was born. The Founding Members would go on from that night to help write many of the songs D15 still plays today. Of the founding Members only Donavan remains, yet still remains close with former members Darren Howard, Mike Ploufe and especially his good friend and current drummer for STRAIGHT SIXXX, Frank Romo. Donavan chose to leave the band in 2001 and would take the name Down 15 with him. He would eventually find Frank Schafer and John Ridell who would become the trio who brought Down 15 to new Hieghts. Down 15 has become one of Southern Californias premier unsigned bands known for there hard partying and awesome stage performances. Down 15 added Two new members to the band in 2006, Rhythym guitarist Christian Staff and Lead Guitaris Robb Phillips. Since joining the band The 2 members have contributed greatly to adding a new much cleaner sound. 2006 has brought Down 15 some industry notoriety. 2007 should be the year the band makes some real noise in the biz.
