Hello to all who view my page, and God Bless. My name is Minister Clarence Edward Cobb, Jr. I'm from Gladewater,Tx born and raised. However I have been a resident of Dallas since 1991. I've seen my share of good and bad days, but the Lord always blessed me to make it over evry obstacle.
I accepeted my calling to preach in May of 2006.
While living in Gladewater, I was a member of Rising Star COGIC,under Elder C.H McNeece, Sis. Joyce Rodger's mother is the mother of the church. Her name is Mother Rosi Mae Allen. At Rising Star, I sang in the choir and also was Vice Superintendent of the Sunday School.
I don't have any children of my own, but I do have a young nephew. (Noel Reed) He is a handfull, but he is a good boy and one day he is going to be a fine man. At Srong Arms, I am ministering, singing in the choir, and learning to play my 6-string bass. I also sing in the Starlight Distert and the Texas Northeast 1st Jurisdiction under Bishop Neaul Haynes.
Growing up in Gladwater, my father and my mother ran a restarunt-club called the Big Oak Drive Inn, beleive it or not it was a motel too wayyy out in the country. I mean like cows and pigs, it was on the Cobb farm. My dad had a bar b que pit big as a king size bed , you could cook a cow in that thing. We had all kinds of people that came to our place, white folk black folk, and that was during the time of segregation. It was a interesting time in my life. We had a pool table and my sister Linda was very good in playing. She could beat grown men and make them cry. Boy those were the good ole days.
My father died on feb 10 1980. It was hard for us. So my mom ran the club for about 1 more year. Our pastor would always preach about running clubs. But when my mom stopped, He stopped. I thank God for my Mother, she has been strong throughout the years, and always provided for me and my sister throughout the years, and now that she is up in age, I have the priviledge of taking care of her.Thank's to my dear friend ms. ~HF~ for helping me with my page
