About Me
Supervisor Freddye Carter is a native of Texas and presently living in Waco.She was born in Corpus Christi, Texas and reared in Houston, Texas. She is a graduate of Wheatley High School and the Nathan Conservatory of Music. She received her early religious training at Lyons Temple COGIC under the leadership of the late Bishop W. G. Law.
Her degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Paul Quinn College, Magna Cum Laude and a Master of Music Education from the University of Texas in Austin where she finished in the upper portion of her class. Since receiving her missionary license in 1972, Mo Carter has served in Local, District, Jurisdictional and National positions. Locally she has served as the Supervisor of Women at Carter's Temple COGIC where her husband pastored for 34 years before the Lord called him home. She was the District Missionary of the Mexia East District. She is the past president of the Texas Northeast Pastor's & Minister's Wives Circle. Mother Carter was appointed Assistant Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women in 1995, and was named Chairperson of the executive committee. She was the coordinator of the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Texas Northeast and the co-chairperson of the 20th year celebration honoring Bishop J. Neaul Haynes.
Mother Carter was appointed Jurisdictional Supervisor of Women on March 2, 1998 by Bishop J. Neaul Haynes. She received her official appointment from Mother Willie Mae Rivers on April 15, 1998 during the Spring Call Meeting in Memphis, TN.
Mother Carter has served in strategic capacities supporting her Jurisdictional Prelate, the Bishop J. Neaul Haynes in his campaign for the General Board.
Mother Carter presently serves on the Jurisdictional Program Committee.She also served as the recording secretary of the International Pastor's & Minister's Wives Circle.
Mother Carter is the author of fifteen (15) books with her most recent ones being, "TO BURN OR NOT TO BURN" and "I AM MY OWN WORST ENEMY". She is a seminar workshop developer, providing teaching and training for women of all ages. Mother Carter continues to serve in the church founded by her late husband, Supt. J. L. Carter now pastored by their son, Elder Jesse L. Carter II. Mother Carter is a family oriented person and is the mother of four, grandmother of five and great grandmother of six. She is a developer, educator, organizer, leader, teacher, counselor, guide, booster, friend, mentor and a holy woman of God. She is truly a saintly example of one who is saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost.
