The Larsen's project took form in 1995, but it remained just an idea for the following two years, necessary to end the obbligations with my previous band. Released me in 1997 I contacted Salvatore, a guy I shared with, since a long time, a huge passion for ‘70/’80 Hard ‘n’ Heavy music, and that I enjoyed for being such a spontaneous and aggressive guitar player. I proposed him to form a Band in which I could, at last, express myself as a musician, following in my heroes’ footsteps, from which I drew inspiration since I was a 9 years old child (it may seems unbelievable but it's true!). So came in Manlio, a bass player I noticed in a live show of his band at that time, the right man for the band I had in my mind. We got in perfect tuning since from the very first jam, in which we enjoyed ourselves playing Accept, Judas Priest, Saxon and Scorpions' classics. The following months passed, keeping on writing new material and trying to complete the line up. However I had to face a large problem: find the singer I’ve always dreamt of. It’s useless to list all the “gone empty†attempts….until Mario’s joining. I contacted him after listening to a demo - tape. His wonderful timbre and the considerable extension of his voice won my heart immediately. At that moment an urgent thing was to find a drummer (another wild goose chase). Finally we met Walter. His style was powerful and precise, he was the man! Unfortunately after a few months Mario, for external reasons, was forced to leave the band. After another hard search Alessandro De Simone substituted him, he was introduced to us by a common friend and we together recorded in the year 2000 “Call of Prideâ€, our first demo - CD. Alessandro joined the band for the following four years, during which we were involved in a large and full live activity (A particularly important gig was supporting Paul Di Anno) and the recording of a full lenght-album (June 2002), never released, because of some problems with the label company. In the meanwhile the relationship between Alessandro and the rest of the band started to crack down and finally he was removed. By the way I started composing a new bunch of songs and I called back our first and original singer: Mario’s reaction was enthusiastic. So here we are, ready to get in a studio(September 2004) and record all the new material from which are drawn the four tracks included in the “Perfect Crime†promo – CD, finally released in March 2005. To promote the new material we have been playing several shows between March 2005 and April 2006, the most important of those have been the ones supporting Grave Digger (2005) and Skyclad (2006). The story so far! By now, the band is still envolved in recording new songs and searching a good record deal. In the meantime (November '07) has been released "III", a brand new 4-tracks promotional CD.Biagio Valenti
