Rob Jenkins

'I like Rob's drawings because they are original, absorbing and pretension-free expressions of a soul in a soulless society. Rob has been drawing his pictures for as long as I've known him, and through the years what he does and the style he does it with has just been getting better and better. You can look at Rob's intricately detailed drawings and still not have a clue what they are supposed to be about, and I don't think he has either, but thats not because their some abstract, anal retentive, paper-stains for over-educated fools to endlessly discuss, it's because their an intoxicated and inspired celebration of colour and form, (especially that of the female!) that for me always take on a dreamlike trippy quality, where imagination and illusion take the place of the concrete and mundane.
