About Me

Dylan In The Movies is the musical vehicle for Boston based singer/songwriter Brian Sullivan. The name is a homage to the great Belle and Sebastian song "Like Dylan In the Movies." "Feel the Pull", a six song ep, was released in late 2005. Recorded late at night by Sullivan and Brian Brown (Billy Bragg, Juliana Hatfield) at legendary Fort Apache Studios, "Feel the Pull" received critical raves for its emotive beauty and haunting melodies. Some of Brian's friends, including Ed Valauskas (Graham Parker, The Gentlemen) and Tanya Donelly (Throwing Muses, Breeders, Belly) added their extraordinary talents to some of the songs. Brian is currently finishing the forthcoming full length and hopes to find a label willing to take a chance on a redheaded rocker from Boston. The full length will include the jangly-pop “City Skies” and the lilting “Truro” featuring backing vocals from The Watson Twins (Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins). “City Skies” was recently released on a 7” vinyl split single with John P Strohm (Blake Babies, Lemonheads) through American Laundromat Records. "Feel the Pull" is available at most online retailers including iTunes, Insound, Audio Lunchbox and emusic.
