My name is Yazmin Padilla and I am an artist located in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I work mostly on watercolors, acrylics, or mixed media.

I have been painting since I can remember. I was always captivated by other artists' works since a very early age. For my 13th birthday, my mother bought me an acrylics paint set, some brushes, paper and an easel. It was a dream come true. I would spend hours painting anything I could imagine.

I am mostly a self-taught artist, however during college years, I took some Drawing, Painting, and Calligraphy classes. After graduating from College I only painted ocasionally. But in 2004 I decided to take my art more seriously giving it the respect it deserves. I joined the artists' cyber-community of wetcanvas.com where I have learned so much. My art is continiously improving and I am having lots of fun doing it!

I am a member of the Movimiento de Artistas Unidos de Isabela (MAUi), Art Group. They are a really cool and talented group of artists, and the group is very active. Check out their website: (in Spanish)
