Distant Sound is a music production studio in Oslo, Norway. It is located in the very centre of the city, and it contains great equipment, a nice atmosphere, high competence and critical ears. The fares are reasonably low, so it's great for artists or bands on a budget. The studio is run by Kjartan Vestvik. I am a norwegian producer and keyboard player. I have formerly been producing music under the name Gentle Magnetics, and I have been the other half of electro-jazz-ambient-exclusivé duo The Glitz, handling the keys and the programming. Now I record, produce and mix music for bands and artists, and I also work on music for movies. I have produced the music for the norwegian award-winning documentary movie "Loop" in co-operation with Martin Cornel. Lately I have been recording and mixing for bands like Roadmovie, Asia Asia, Olove, Martin Cornel, Stronghold, Kristiansen and JeniBelle.
Any questions, or curious about the studio? Don't hesitate to contact me, either via this profile, or on my web page: www.distantsound.no
Recently I finished my work on the music for a movie called "Som Sagt PÃ¥ Russisk". It is a short movie made by norwegian film students.
I also play piano and organ with Martin Cornel, and I play synthesizers in the indie/shoegazer/kraut-band Harts Naive.
