Kelly's Olympian, Friday Oct. 3rd!

About Me

My name is Nathan Trueb. I started Tango Alpha Tango after my previous band, The Carolines, broke up. I didn't write many songs for The Carolines, because most of what I wrote did not fit, stylistically, into the confinements of that band. After we broke up I had a clear mind with no artistic restrictions with my writing. It took a while to get used to not being in that band. I came up with a batch of songs and went straight to my brother, Aaron Trueb, (also in The Carolines) to see what he thought. He loved the material and we started collaborating instantly. After plenty of meetings we decided we needed to start playing with others, so we could have all of our ideas fully realized. The next call I made was to my friend Walker Beckman. I met Walker at Mt. Hood Community College in the jazz program. We became friends there instantly and hit it off musically in one of those once-in-a-lifetime situations. My, now, fiancee, Mirabai Carter, has been playing bass on and off for years. It just so happened that she really started taking off with her instrument right when we were in need of some bass grooves. I asked her to come play with the three of us, and it was just a ridiculous fit. We all fit like a glove, instantly. (If you know anything about bands, that doesn't often happen.) It was one of those meetings that I had only read about in books... until now. So Mirabai joined the band and things are only getting better. We will be recording in June 2007. Shows and touring also coming soon. I couldn't ask for a better group of people to be playing with and we hope you love the music we are working so hard on.
