I somehow became a city girl after growing up in a cornfield. The town I grew up in just got a super walmart last year, and the only place open all night is hucks (a gas station). needless to say, living in nashville is very different from the small town life for me. i am in my fifth year of teaching here in nashvegas. i moved here on a whim and prayer w/o really knowing anyone to take a teaching job, but have come to call nashville my home. I am one of those few people who actually didn't move to nashville to pursue a music career! I finally joined a new church, which I love. I have come into the 28th year of my life with few regrets, which i consider to be an unbelievable blessing. I serve a God whose mercies are new every morning. I have a wonderful family, a dad who makes jokes about everything, and a mother who is my safe place to fall. My friends in Nashville and all over keep me sane when I want to give into just going crazy, but they also go crazy w/me from time to time. Music & singing help me to connect with God and disconnect from the world. The kids in my class never cease to amaze me with their love of life and their ability to never give up, no matter what.
