About Me

Hi I'm Jane and dwell in sunny Huddersfield! I'm originally from Guildford but moved up here to go to uni and never looked back. I lurve all things creative, art, design, photography, film and literature and am lucky enough to be a designer and photographer. I also enjoy good company, good conversation and let's not forget good food! Who doesn't?! Please take a look at my pics - shots from my latest jaunts to Tunisia and Italy. If anyone's got any constructive criticism I'd love to hear it! Jx MySpace Editor Icons Collage Banner Generator Contact Table Generator Scroll Generator

My Interests

I find most things interesting - I'm a bit nosey! I like seeing beauty in things that other people don't see, therefore spend most of the time wondering around in awe of the world. I study Qigong and dabble in Thai Chi which keeps me sane in this crazy world. I also like to daydream.

I'd like to meet:

All the good people!

Music:

Where to start? Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Frank Sinatra, Nightmares on Wax, Nina Simone, Hard-Fi, Pink Floyd, The Who, The Doors, Chemical Brothers, Faithless, Elvis, Paulo Nuttini, U2, Skunk Anansie, Nenah Cherry and most 80's electro breakdance, a bit of old skool d&b, The Invention (of course!) I love Bueno Vista Social Club - Cuban Rhythms, a bit of Jazz, Funk and Soul, all things chilled out (check out Nanuk on Myspace) and I'm partial to a bit of Mozart too! As you can tell, I'm hard to please : )

Movies:

I have to say one of my fave films is Arthur - it still makes me chuckle even though I've seen it far too may times. Dudley Moore and John Gielgud just make a great double act. I can't get enough of most Disney and Pixar films, they satisfy the child in me. Finding Nemo is the best. My classics: Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Dirty Dancing (!) Leon, The Shining, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Sting, Rebecca, The Great Escape, Forrest Gump and not forgetting the all time classic - Flight of the Navigator! Recently watched: Children of Men: fantastic and frightening. Hot Fuzz: you guys!

Television:

Anything involving Meercats, Monkeys and or Elephants, Planet Earth is incredible. Prison Break and Friends. We also have a sad habit of betting on valuations on the Antiques Roadshow.

Books:

I thoroughly enjoyed The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger, I'm a Harry Potter fan and I'm becoming a Joanne Harris Fan. I've just read Blackberry Wine and it envokes long lazy Summers - it's one of those books where you can actually smell the wine. I found Saturday by Ian McEwan hard to concentrate on because it was so thought provoking, my mind kept wandering. Vernon God Little by DBC (Dirty But Clean) Pierre was brilliantly original. Memoirs of a Geisha (Arthur Golden) is one of my favourite books and I actually like the film (unusual) I've just finished Pattern Recognition by William Gibson -although the story was fast paced, quite original and up to the minute I was a little dissapointed by the outcome - an enjoyable read though.

Heroes:

My Mum and Dad. I think they are ex-superheroes like 'The Incredibles' trying to lead a normal life.
