God, school, hanging with friends and church! A Tavares man died this morning in Seminole County when his pick-up truck collided with a school bus, leaving some students with minor injuries. Trevor Savage, 18, was driving his Ford Ranger westbound on State Road 46 at 6:10 a.m. when he drifted across the center line and struck the front of a school bus transporting Lyman High School students near Ross Lake Lane in Sanford, said Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Kim Miller. Both vehicles came to rest on the westbound lanes.Savage, who was on his way to work at TWC Services in Sanford, died at the scene. FHP troopers said Savage was not wearing his seatbelt.Bus passengers Freddy Vasquez, 14, Aleisha Figueroa, 18, Catherine LaJeunesse, 16, and Sebastian LaJeunesse, 19, suffered minor injuries. Another student, Andrew Boesch, 15, was not injured. Bus monitor Vivian Flores, 56, and bus driver Ricky Saunders, 47, also suffered minor injuries."There was a doctor who witnessed the accident and tended to some of those injuries," Miller said.The intersection was closed for several hours, but is now open.Miller said troopers were monitoring smoke in the area, but smoke did not contribute to the accident.
