About Me

I’m a pretty reserved person and pay little attention to social expectations. Self-satisfaction is a higher priority to me than meeting the expectations of others. I organize my thinking and decision making based on facts, rather than intuition. I value efficiency and develop systematic procedures for most projects and activities. My tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty is relatively low, and do not leave many questions unanswered. When information is incomplete or inaccurate, it bothers me until I am confident it is complete. I will also take the time necessary to attain quality, but will not waste time by being compulsive. I am very ambitious, and consider it very important to be successful in almost all activities I undertake. My high aspirations motivate me to pursue goals until I accomplish them. I am competitive to a fault. The more competitive the situation, the more important and enjoyable it is to me. I continually strive for greater accomplishments and to reach my maximum potential. Once these accomplishments are met, I like to set even bigger goals. I am always willing to invest the time and effort required to accomplish tasks, and I have the ability to see projects through to completion. I tend to continue working even when ill, tired or in some other way not at my best. It is difficult for me to let go of projects, even when I need a break, because I am so persistent. Others may consider me to be a workaholic. Obstacles and problems are challenging, rather than discouraging, and I view them as opportunities to develop my knowledge and skills. I am very assertive and usually make things happen, rather than react to the initiative of others. I respond positively to challenges, and not hesitant to attempt most new things. When situations call for action, I am usually decisive, direct, and not afraid to act. I don’t dwell on disappointments, setbacks, or physical ailments. After disappointments or negative experiences, I am emotionally resilient and persevere, rather than overwhelmed. Even when hardships, inconveniences, or distractions are encountered, I am able to stay focused on the tasks at hand. A definite "no-nonsense" approach characterizes my way of getting things done. = )
