My Interests

Free time is spent writing, teaching, learning, reading, playing guitar, drinking, dancing, bowling, cooking, tending to fish aquariums, golfing, fighting for social change, engaging in fine dining, conversing, hanging out with friends, and having fun in Philadelphia, South Jersey, or New York. Travels outside of these areas in search of said fun tend to occur.

The Ipod's top 25 are: Saul Williams, Hail Social, Joy Division, the Rapture, Dead Prez, M.I.A., the Ramones, Michael Jackson, Thievery Corporation, Roni Size, Destiny's Child, Darkwood Dub, Massive Attack, Eminem, the Orb, Franz Ferdinand, Outkast, Kiril Dzajkovski, Blur, Rolling Stones, Ol' Dirty Bastard, A-ha, Kool Keith, Tricky, and the Beastie Boys.

Movies:

Favorite viewing includes Baraka, anything with Bruce Lee, No Man's Land (and other ex-Yugoslav films), Jean-Pierre Jeunet movies, Slam, Naked Lunch, Talledega Nights, Batman Begins and B-horror/sci-fi.

Television:

Not watched often, but occasional viewing of Globe Trekker, History Channel programs, Sci-Fi Channel programs, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Conan, Beauty and the Geek, hockey (Flyers), baseball (Phillies), football (Eagles), and news programs occurs.

Books:

Currently reading -- Hip: the History, Bruce Lee, the Autobiography of Ben Franklin, and Ishmael.

Faulty Logic

When school districts fail, Bush cuts money to them (no child left behind.)  When occupations of foreign countries fail, Bush increases money and troops. That's faulty logic....
