I am Sgt.Tim Telford and I am a Marine Corps Recruiter. I have put this page up in hopes of informing interested men and women of The Marine Corps. I believe that the MARINE CORPS is the best of the best and the most challenging of all the branches. In August 2002 I joined for that very reason. I wanted a challenge and to be the best of the best.So I shipped off to bootcamp at MCRD in San Diego, CA with the blessing of my wife and new born daughter. Well guess what I got that challenge I was looking for and much more. I gained a new respect for myself as well for the people around me, friends, knowledge, honor, and mostly the right to call myself a UNITED STATES MARINE.My graduation was November 1st, all my family came to see me for the first time in almost three months. As I stood at attention about to receive my eagle, globe, and anchor it hit me after all the hard work and pain I am a MARINE. I went on to become a tank mechanic which was a fun but challenging job. I did that all the way up to my re-enlistment. I decided that I wanted to be a recruiter and tell the Marine Corps story. Also to give young men and women the chance to be a Marine.The Marine Corps has many jobs and advantages for you if you qualify. We don't offer you money so if that is what you are looking for than look some where else. We do offer you the chance to be One of the Few and the Proud, which to me is the most respected and rewarding jobs you could ever have.
