Well in the disregarded state of Louisiana, the northern town of Shreveport inhabits the deluctant sounds on Nicole Robinson. This baby of the 80’s, born to a single mother, posses plenty of talents, but her endowment for singing is more like a gift from God. With a distinct and unique soulful tone, Nicole Robinson has won the hearts of people from all backgrounds, regions, genders and ethnicities. Many say she has a voice, style and stage presence that is hypnotizing and soothing to the soul.Since her capabilities of singing were noticed she would open her mouth and sing for who ever was listening. Fortunately through hardships and misfortune she gave her life to God for guidance. And it was in her years of studying psychology at Grambling State University when her natural aptness for singing mounted into a passion. After winning a Dunbar Hall, Drama and Theater Annual Talent Show people began to notice her knack for singing. Then there became a desire and demand for her presence at numerous occasions around campus. During these engagements she began writing songs of her own.By being nurtured in an atmosphere identifiable by her peers, yet authentic in living, was a contribution to her sense of style in writing. She submits songs that are apprehended and appreciated by woman similar in situation and close in character. She writes songs uplifting with encouraging word like “ The Greatest Gift”, keeps it real and let fellas know how it is in, “Game”’ and expresses pain felt in relationships in “ Letting Go”. Because the truth is spoken in her songs they are sure to be felt by everyone. Currently she is writing and recording her freshman album titled “ Un~Refined”, will heat up the streets, burn through the charts, tear down the clubs and have people singing unforgettable lyrics over and over for years to come. Nicole Robinson is a gorgeous, sexy, chocolate yet adorable female that will become a loved face and a household voice. Nicole Robinson has had many performances some of them include opening for the Internationally known recording artist “Sounds of Blackness” at a Black history program for Grambling State University. She sang at the crowning of the 2003-04 Miss Grambling State University’s Coronation, Presidents’ Luncheon for the faculty and staff of Grambling, many talent showcases, open mics and Apollo’s around the campus.Her most prized performance was opening, a worship service, for the album release of influential friends and Gospel recording artists Ziel’. She also has a song “Drama” submitted on “The Queen of Media” soundtrack. Being recognized in her many travels to showcases, she was asked to be featured in the 2007 New York City’s Catalogue of Independent and Unsigned Artist. Also she has a feature in the Prestige Magazine.Shreveport Senate Candidate Marvin “Jabber-Jaws” Williams allowed her to perform at his Campaign Party. Also she is featured on Shreveport’s own DVD Magazine Double Exposure Volumes 1 & 4. there also have been many weddings funeral and family ceremonies Nicole Robinson has attended.
