About Me

Your Contingency Plan. It is the conception of one musical individual, Paul Cohen, who's plan was to gather a group of talented musicians to get extraordinary music heard by all. Call it rock, call it emo, the music speaks for itself. It is honest and truthful music. Your Contingency Plan may be a new name however each of the band's members have many years of experience. Paul takes up the lead vocalist position, eager to belt out his unforgettable melodies. Joey on lead guitar is an exceptional player and adds new layers of sound to the band. Craig is an accomplished drummer who has been in several other bands. Jonathan rounds out the lineup with his grooving bass which provides a valuable low end to the music. Each of the guys in Your Contingency Plan have been in several other bands residing in the Orlando area and are no stranger to live performance. With their former bands, they have played in local venues such as the Social, Hard Rock, Backbooth, AKA Lounge, Duke's, Holly and Dolly's and the Haven Lounge. Paul's previous band, Distance, which recorded a full length album with producers Brett Hestla(Virgos, Creed, Dark New Day) and Justin Thomas(Faktion)was a featured artist on the music industry site Kings of A&R. Your Contingency Plan is emotional and melodic, yet heavy and enchanting. It is music that will reverberate with the listener long after it has stopped. Your Contingency Plan is about relationships, heartbreak, hopes and dreams, life, love, and everything in between.
In 2006, Paul wrote and recorded an 8 song EP entitled "Lessons Learned". The project was years in the making. With the help of a fellow musician and friend, his ideas were able to come to fruition. The 8 upbeat, riff-heavy songs represent the emotional journey that Paul experienced at the time. Currently the cd has been completed and the release date is tba.
