Gimpin Ain't Easy

About Me

At age 12, I lost his left leg below-the-knee in a car accident. I learned to ride on a prosthesis in 1992 with the help of my good friend Stefan Filkin of Red Lodge, MT . Since then I have spent most of his life chasing snow all over the West.I am the former Winter Program Director for a nonprofit called Adaptive Action Sports (AAS), and continue to be an adaptive snowboard advocate of the United States of America Snowboard Association (USASA). I am now working for the National Ability Center (NAC) in Park City, Utah as a Program Manager. Here I will continue to create recreational and performance opportunities for adaptive snowboarders and skiers. I look forward to continuing this service to the adaptive snowsport community with the same level of quality that I always strive for. Since 2000, I have coordinated adaptive snowboard camps like “Gimps on the Glacier” in Mt. Hood Oregon and I am also working with Windells Camp to create an adaptive snowboard/ski camps. This camp is an amazing experience and is held during both summer and winter sessions. I have worked with USASA for eight years creating alpine and freestyle events for athletes with permanent physical disabilities. I am stoked to be working with the NAC where I hope to establish a stong program that will provide a unique service to amazing individuals.Contact Info:[email protected]
