About Me

POXY have been together on and off now for about 5 years but are only recently getting things into some sort of order. We write and perform all of our own material staying clear of pefforming covers due to the fact that we want to be assessed on our own merits and not end up being pigeon holed as ....."sounding like...." another band. We have played around Cork in such venues as Cyprus Avenue, The Lobby, Fred Zeplins and Nancy Spains. All going to plan we will be going into the studio this summer to record some new material and we are hoping to do a little mini tour around the country.

Band Members: Steven "ROCKY" Kelly Drums. Adrian "ACK" Connolly Guitar and vocals. James "JIMI" Sheehan Bass and occasional backing vocal.
Influences: We have a very wide, very varied musical background. Anything from Metallica to Slayer / Slipknot, Kings of Leon to The Chemical Brothers, The Cream to Jimi Hendrix and Sepultura to Obituary can be readily found in our CD collections. Basically anything that would not be regularly heard on normal commercial radio stations !
