I like music and sports and love movies! I enjoy photography and writing poetry. More than anything I like to travel. I'm interested in politics (I'm a liberal Democrat) and world events. I like to try new things. I like to hike, bike, swim, ski, rock climb, camp and play video games.
Here's one of my poems:
Tortured
Sounds silly saying I miss,
now that you're not around
And so what if you're lonely,
a real man just rebounds
How weak it is to call you,
when strength has run aground
And if I say I need you,
that sentiment astounds
Yes getting mad is childish,
when life has turned you down
And only fools confess contempt,
when equals can't be found
I can't admit I'm tortured,
although I'm tightly wound
Oh why should I be worried,
one sinks before they drown
It's wrong to say I love you,
remember there are bounds
Lest I be deemed immoral,
no doubt I'm going down
I hear their righteous whispers,
how fucking dumb they sound
I will not play that stupid game,
their views are not profounddavid
Friends of most any age as long as we can talk and laugh and learn from each other. I've always had both gay and straight friends, older and younger friends, hispanic and asian and black and white friends.

Thomas Jefferson, Franklin Roosevelt, Bill Clinton, Thomas Paine, Jimmy Carter & John KennedyTHOMAS JEFFERSON ON RELIGION: I have recently been examining all the known superstitions of the world, and do not find in our particular superstition [Christianity] one redeeming feature. They are all alike, founded upon fables and mythologies. [O]nce surrendering his reason, (man) has no remaining guard against absurdities the most monstrous, and like a ship without a rudder, is the sport of every wind. With such persons, gullibility, which they call faith, takes the helm of reason, and the mind becomes a wreck. In every country and in every age the priest has been hostile to liberty; he is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own." ~ Thomas JeffersonTHOMAS PAINE ON RELIGION: "All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian, or Turkish, appear to me no other than human inventions set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit" "As to the Christian system of faith, it appears to me as a species of Atheism -- a sort of religious denial of God. It professes to believe in a man rather than in God. It is a compound made up Chiefly of Manism with but little Deism, and is as near Atheism as twilight is to darkness. It introduces between man and his Maker an opaque body, which it calls a Redeemer, as the moon introduces her opaque self between the earth and the sun, and it produces by this means a religious, or an irreligious eclipse of light. It has put the whole orbit of reason into shade"
