About Me

I am a hairstylist at an amazing salon in downtown Dayton. I work for and with incredible people and never thought I would make it to this point. It is nothing less than astonishing to look back at where I was a few years ago and see where I am today. I have the greatest friends and family and could not imagine life without them, in fact as far as I am concerned there wouldn't be life without them. This is the first time, since I was thirteen, that I haven't been working and going to school or working more than one job. I don't know what to do with my free time! Needless to say I am looking for a new hobby. We'll see how banjo playing goes.

My Interests

I like to draw and work with clay. I love music and wish I was more musically inclined (hopefully my dad will be able to teach me a little something). I like to go out at night with friends but staying home is deffinatly okay.

I would like to meet new people, of any sort.

Music:

Lucinda Williams, The Sounds, The Jayhawks, Flaming Lips, Patti Griffin, Cowboy Junkies, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Emmylou Harris, Heartless Bastards, Over the Rhine, Madeleine Peyroux, Alison Krauss....Give me just about anything except current R&B and I'll take any hairband any day!

Movies:

Favorite of all time has to be "Crybaby." Besides that I really enjoy all movies in general.

Television:

I love anything on The Learning Channel, Discovery, HGTV, and A&E. At night I can't go to sleep without the "Golden Girls"

Books:

I love to read. I really like Tom Robbins and have read just about every one of his books. Other favorites include The Time Travelers Wife, Confederacy of Dunces, and The Secret Life of Bees. I will really just read anything anyone gives me, I can't think of a book I read that I didn't like.
