I'm Mikey, of sweet ol' Dayton. Barista by day, theatre extraordinaire by night.
I often feel misunderstood, yet I am oddly content with it.
I thank God for my friends and many blessings every day. I think life's fantastic despite all the turns and falls that inevitably come at times of least convenience, as long as you can learn to accept, breathe, and be thankful.
I try to be as understanding, patient, fair, and compassionate as I possibly can, and I expect that from everyone else. I believe it is your humanitarian obligation and privilege to do so.
I am a proud Gemini.
I am a philosopher, teacher, and artist by nature and practice.
I try to stay as positive as possible at all times, but find it very difficult in a world that gets harder and harder to connect with the older I get. Particular frustrations: Self-importance, indecision, selfishness, laziness, passive-aggressiveness, lack of personal accountability, hypocrisy, and general aversion to intellect. Why do people insist on remaining unenlightened, ignorant, and emotionally stunted, and why are most of them content with it? I will never understand.
I am a walking contradiction, God help me!
I consider myself to be a communicator, and believe that God has important plans for its use in my life, that every day He is "training" me to carry out His will. I am however constantly at war with myself to LET GO and give my life totally to Him. In those moments when I can and do... guys, it's fantastic.
I am a hopeless romantic. Key word: HOPELESS.
I am always actively working on improving myself in many capacities. Currently, some of those things are temperance, self-discipline, acceptance, being consistent, humility, perseverance through self-created and implemented organizational methods, and upkeep of laundry... uggggh I hate it.
My favorite color is red.
