About Me

I can play drums to a small level.
Who wouldn't start knocking some beats out after seeing a gorilla do it on tv? It made me pick up the sticks again.
I grew up boppin to my dad playin funk and hip hop on the decks at home all day everyday. I also liked Jackie Mitson from an erly age (aka Michael Jackson). Sesame street with beans and melted cheese on top cheered me up and was my dad's way of distracting me when my mum went to work on a stall down camden back in day. I liked playing MC Lyte 'Cold Rock The Party' at 45 on the decks and I still know all the lyrics sped up and can sing em for you in high pitch like itchy and scratchy.
As I say, I can do most things on a small level, like looping and scratching and mixing too. I'm lazy. I procrastinate with all these minimal tallents ive picked up when i should be doing something more 'important'. When I have nothing to do, I don't do anything. No inspiration comes stronger than when avoiding work.

My Interests

Raindance Film Festival, my Super 8 camera, filming, looking up in New York City, listening to break beats/ old school hip hop/ funk/ electronic/ disco and everything in the section below, drumming, sampling, making electronic music, being really precise when drawing structural things in art, being really messy when working big with paint or sculpture,

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who loves combining art and architecture like i do...
Watch this video it's really structural and beautiful but I prefer the last minute of it:

I'd like to meet anybody who hates what I love too.

I don't read much, but im working on that. My dad has lent me 'The Autobiography of Malcolm X',who went from being a drug dealer and burglar to one of the most prominent black nationalist leaders in the United States. As a militant leader, Malcolm X advocated black pride, black power, economic self-reliance, and identity politics. He ultimately rose to become a world-renowned African American and human rights activist. Also my dad has lent me a book about Orson Welles who wrote many films including 'Citizen Kane' which is arguably the greatest film ever made.
